We LOVE personal finance.  And we also love reading all the great blogs about personal finance out there.  The problem we found is some of these blogs have inaccurate or incomplete information, but more often than not, they just have a different view.  And we understand that if you have x number of PF bloggers in one room discussing one subject, there will probably be x+3 opinions.

Understanding that no one is perfect (we make no such claim and welcome varying ideas), from time to time people are going to make mistakes.  Generally, most PF bloggers are excellent people who have the best of intentions.  But, they can also spin things, omit details (small or large), flat-out present something that is inaccurate and/or assume your goals are their goals.  This is simply providing another point of view.

In the past, we have attempted to just surf the PF blogs and make comments, but we found three issues: 1) We can’t make our response look pretty (no charts, pretty equations, embedded hyperlinks*, functional display of quotes, etc), 2) Blog owners tend to dislike a varying view and 3) We would spend a good amount of time making a thoughtful post to have an owner “take it down.”  So, we aim to move the stage and have our bully pulpit with maybe 1.5 people listening.  And this is by no means an attack on people, but rather to present varying view(s) or potentially even building off of an excellent thought.

We post on Mundays and Thursdays.  If there is something you would like us to write about, please do let us know.

WOOF! WOOF! yap…yap… (that fits us a bit better)

I’m enjoying your perspective! I started my own blog after realizing that I would regularly write 4-5 paragraph comments on other people’s blogs and not really feeling like I connected with other blogs sometimes.
